REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB TASKS:
|
- Interacting with Computers—Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to set up functions, enter data, or process information. This includes: computers to enter, access or retrieve data and using word processing, spreadsheet and desktop publishing software.
- Communicating with Supervisors or Peers—Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
- Performing Clerical Activities—Performing day-to-day clerical tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. This includes: filling out forms and purchase requisitions, maintaining digital calendars, processing invoices, routing multi-line telephone calls, and typing correspondence.
- Getting Information—Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
- Documenting/Recording Information—Entering, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form. This includes: entering time sheet information, performing typing or data entry, preparing meeting materials, and taking messages.
- Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships—Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
- Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work—Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Communicating with Persons Outside Organization—Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone, email or other digital means.
- Working Directly with the Public— This includes staff, school personnel and members of the public.
- Scheduling Work and Activities—Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others. This includes: arranging teleconference calls, making travel arrangements, scheduling meetings or appointments, and scheduling or contracting meeting facilities.
- Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge—Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job. This includes using oral and written communication techniques. Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
- Making Decisions and Solving Problems—Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Monitoring Processes, Materials, or Surroundings—Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
- Maintain knowledge of current T1C federal regulatory guidance requirements and Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) T1C standards in the area of Identification and Recruitment (ID&R).
- Ability to apply ID&R regulatory guidance on case-by-case situations.
- Demonstrate knowledge and competence in using the electronic Certificate of Eligibility (COE) and MIS2000 database.
- Identify, assess, and evaluate information received from a variety of sources in determining prospective eligible students and their families for program services.
- Meet and interview prospective eligible students and their families to determine eligibility for program services.
- Establish and maintain a relationship with eligible families once they have been recruited.
- Knowledge of and compliance with the State ID&R process and timelines.
- Communicate with school district staff and employers of eligible workers and T1C and establish procedures of communication concerning census information.
- Collaborate with public and private community agencies associated with serving rural/urban populations.
- Ability to travel on a regional, state and national level.
- Ability to read and evaluate information on printed, state-adopted COE form.
- Communicate with other ESU 7 and NDE T1C staff regarding COE information.
- Participate in local, state, and national trainings to remain current on all federal and state requirements and standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information concerning T1C staff, eligible students and families.
- Promote and attend local, state, and national T1C sponsored events and trainings.
- Complete routine paperwork.
- Adhere to all ESU 7 policies, procedures, and supervisory directives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
