Description

ESU 7 has an ongoing need for a Substitute Paraprofessional. This will be an on-call and as needed position. This position is typically for a 6-hour workday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and it pays $15 per hour.

Applicants will be working with students with disabilities between ages 5-21.

Job requirements: High school diploma, effective communication skills, proficient computer skills, and ability to work with a team in a fast-paced work environment.

REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB TASKS:

  1. Follow the specific directions given by the supervising teacher when working with students.

  1. Maintain positive communication at all times when conducting ESU 7 business or representing ESU 7.

  1. Support students to develop independent life skills.
    1. Meal preparation (menu development, shopping, meal preparation and clean up).
    2. Developing independent hygiene skills.
    3. Social skill development
  2. Support and accompany students on job sites.
    1. Support students in job preparation (uniforms, ID’s, hygiene, skills needed)
    2. Complete job site work journal/evaluation

  1. Maintain and submit one-on-one student hours.

 

  1. Maintain confidentiality of information concerning staff, students, and parents within all districts served.

  1. Adhere to all ESU 7 policies, rules, regulations, and supervisory directives.

  1. Perform other duties as assigned by ESU 7 Chief Administrator or designee.

  1. Other duties as assigned.
