Network Operations Director

REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB TASKS:

  1. Assess organization database needs, create and maintain databases to meet those needs.
  2. Test databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications.
  3. Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information in databases.
  4. Specify users and user access levels for each segment of database.
  5. Develop methods for integrating different products so they work properly together such as customizing commercial databases to fit specific needs.
  6. Train users and answer questions.
  7. Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information and advice for upper management.
  8. Develop, maintain & manage ESU 7’s website.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

TECHNOLOGY EXPECTATIONS:

  1. Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, and other computer hardware and software, including applications and basic programming / scripting.
  2. Database Systems – Knowledge of Claris FileMaker Pro Database systems and current trends.
  3. Able to post on ESU 7 Social Media resources

  24. Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  1. Inside offices and throughout the ESU 7 campus and district buildings.
  2. Primary work area is air-conditioned, but may travel to non air-conditioned buildings subject to extremes of temperature and humidity.
