Job Description:
ESU 7 is seeking a full time Licensed Mental Health Practitioner for the 2024-2025 school year. Current LMHP licensure/certification or the equivalent is required. Responsibilities will include providing Tier 3 one-on-one services related to the delivery of mental health care to assigned students at the designated school location or ESU 7 Learning Academy, assist with the development of Tier 1 SEL curriculum for all students and Tier 2 group support at member school districts including consultation services to the school staff to support the overall mental health goals of the school, and small group supports.

A valid and current certification in the area of Provisionally Licensed Mental
Health Practitioner (PLMHP), Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP),
Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP), or Certified Master
Social Worker (CMSW).

REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB TASKS:
|
- Responsible for providing services related to the delivery of mental health care to assigned students at the designated school location and will provide consultation services to the school staff to support the overall mental health goals of the school.
- Provide direct mental health services to include intake assessment, individual/group therapy, and crisis interventions to assigned students.
- Assist school counselors with coordinating interventions with students, acting as intervention specialist.
- Maintain regular contact with the parent/guardian of each client.
- Provide follow-up and assist in implementation of reintegration plans for students who are returning to school from hospitalization and/or facility stays.
- Furnish required reports to NDHHS, legal system and other involved agencies as appropriate.
- Participate in meetings as necessary (staffing’s, trainings, IEP’s, community forums, etc.)
- Provide consultation for school staff regarding mental health issues including classroom observation and appropriate service determination.
- Enhance the awareness of mental health needs, services, and promotes community understanding of mental health and enhances community response to mental health problems.
- Provide appropriate in-service training to school staff.
- Develop support groups for students as needed.
- Participate in the collection of mental health information and student outcomes data to be used for monitoring the overall performance and effectiveness of services provided and program development
- Provide appropriate in-service training to school staff.
- Provide complete and timely documentation to support services rendered.
- Is familiar with disciplinary guidelines and student code of conduct in each district served.
- Understand special education regulatory requirements and assists with process as appropriate.
- Foster effective communication with students, parents and other staff members.
- Utilize technology effectively.
- Maintain confidentiality of information concerning staff, students, and parents within all districts served.
- Adhere to all ESU7 policies, rules, regulations, and supervisory directives.
